Why do I need E.T.S.?
Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced and they
will ensure you achieve the maximum benefit from exercise by
utilising training programs that follow accepted guidelines
ensuring you have the best chance of staying injury free.

How much will E.T.S. cost?
Every service or course is priced individually. You will be
given a written estimate at your initial consultation. This will
not change once your program, course or service is agreed.

What qualifications do the instructors
hold?
Instructor qualifications are entirely dependant on the services
requested. Once we have agreed on the services required the
instructor’s profile will be made available to you. All
instructors are highly qualified and experienced.

Can I request additional resources?
E.T.S. is flexible and entirely client centred. If you wish
additional support this will be made available to you. For
example if you require lifestyle advice or a nutrition plan in
addition to your training program this can be added to your
existing provision.

How is information given?
All advice and program information is explained to the client
orally and in written form. In addition it can be e-mailed or
supplied on disc.

Where do I train?
Exercise programs are tailored to your individual needs. We can
train you in your home, local area or in a health club of
choice. Sports Science testing can be conducted in our
laboratory or at a venue convenient to you.

Am I tied to E.T.S. for long periods?
Programs are designed to give advice and a training program that
allows clients to train at a time and place that suits their
lifestyle. Goals and objectives are agreed by the client and
E.T.S. instructor in advance of the program beginning. This
program is then modified after exercise testing to ensure you
train as efficiently as possible. If you require one to one
training then this can be arranged.

Who uses E.T.S.?
All age ranges and levels of ability will benefit from the
expertise E.T.S. instructors have. As all programs are tailored
to the individual’s needs you can be sure you receive the
service that is most appropriate to your requirements.

How detailed are programs?
Each exercise program is unique as is every diet plan or injury
prevention guideline.
All instructors adhere to the relevant Governing Body
guidelines; for example American College of Sports Medicine (A.C.S.M.)
and British Association of Sport and Exercise Science (B.A.S.E.S.).

Do I need special equipment?
E.T.S. will give advice on any training equipment that would
improve the efficiency of programs. Generally all that is
required is normal gym or running gear. Any specialised
equipment will be supplied by E.T.S. or will be sourced for the
client at industry cost.

Will my details be made public?
All personal details pertaining to the client including
personal, health, psychological profiling and nutritional
information will be securely held by E.T.S. No information will
be released into the public domain or to individuals. The client
can request a written copy of all personal information held by
E.T.S., this will be supplied in protected form. All individual
programs are provided to the client, they are not released to
third parties.

What does a typical program involve?
For example a typical 10-week program for a 10km event may
include:
- Initial consultation, health and nutrition check, goal
setting and fitness testing.
- Initial training program with biomechanical correction
and technique training.
- Nutritional plan.
- Flexibility program and advice on injury prevention
strategy.
- Testing at 3, 6 and 9 week mark, revised program
including technique corrections to ensure maximum
improvements.
- Pre event instruction and nutritional advice.
- Post event advice.
